Premium ice cream, decadent milkshakes and hand-crafted gelato are highlights of this "sweet shop" that is themed after Mickey and Minnie Mouse shorts. The light fixtures in the dining room will "bloom" during your meal. It's the subtle effects of this dining room that make it so delightful. Here’s a look at what’s located on each deck of the Disney Fantasy.

Luckily they’re wisely designed to offer plenty of room for everyone and their luggage. We at MagicGuides also tend to recommend smaller ships for first-time cruisers as they might feel a bit less overwhelming — but again, it’s not a major consideration. My first Disney Cruise (and my first cruise ever, for that matter) was on the Disney Fantasy’s sister ship the Disney Dream; I never felt overwhelmed during my maiden voyage and you likely won’t either.
How Big is the Disney Fantasy?

Down on deck 4, you’ll also find shuffleboard courts — a classic cruise activity. A true stage spectacular, featuring 300+ costumes, 200+ scenic elements, and a cast of characters assembled to help a daughter provide her hard-working father a bit of perspective on what’s truly important in life. The Oceaneer Club is the primary kids activity onboard the Disney Fantasy. It’s the place where your kids will probably spend most of their time onboard.

Dumbo’s 7-foot ear span and 2,300 weight — contrasted against their apparent size compared to the rest of the ship — help drive home the true size of this amazing floating city. At Animator’s Palate, you’ll see a fun show featuring Finding Nemo’s Crush on the first night. On your second night at Animator’s Palate, you’ll draw your own character and see it come to life on the screen. Each night, you’ll visit a different restaurant, but will have the same dining staff.
So, on the 7-day itineraries that the Fantasy offers, you’ll go to two restaurants twice and one restaurant three times. With five gorgeous, family-friendly cruise ships, it’s hard to choose a favorite. Today, I’m writing about my very favorite Disney Cruise Line ship – the Disney Fantasy. The Fantasy is the first Disney ship that I traveled on, and the one I’ve spent the longest sailing on.
Skyline, an adults-only sky bar located on Deck 4, Aft in the Europa district on the Disney Fantasy, is a chic cosmopolitan lounge offering stunning panoramic views of European skylines that transform from day to night. Staterooms were designed for families, many with convenient split bathrooms and innovations to ensure the ultimate in comfort and relaxation for guests of all ages. Spacious and contemporary with wonderful amenities, including extra storage, Disney Fantasy offers the ultimate home away from home. Perfectly configured accommodations offer such options as private verandahs, deluxe rooms with expanded space and Magical Portholes in rooms without windows. Additional features include a remote-control LCD flat screen TV, iPod Docking Station, refrigerator, hair dryer, phone with voice-mail messaging and individual climate control.
Ensign Michael Riccio, Coast Guard Sector San Juan operations unit leader, said his crew was “glad everything came together to help this passenger. According to the release, Coast Guard members first got the call that there was a medical emergency aboard the ship on the morning of Monday, April 15. A video of the incident shows the Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew executing a medevac in order to transport the patient safely to land by helicopter. The Disney Cruise Line vessel was 180 miles northwest of Puerto Rico in the Atlantic Ocean when the passenger “required a higher level of medical care ashore,” according to an April 16 press release from the U.S. Just a few weeks ago, a woman was denied boarding on Carnival Luminosa due to her pregnancy.

First-run and classic Disney, LucasFilm, Marvel, and PIXAR films are shown all day long inside the Buena Vista Theatre. Just check the Navigator app or signs outside the theatre for showtimes, then head inside to find a seat. You don’t have to pay extra to ride the AquaDuck, but you will have to wait in line (sorry, no FastPass, Lightning Lane, or Genie+ here). Lines tend to be longest on Sea Days and shorter when the ship is in port.

So what do you need to know if you’re considering taking a cruise on the Disney Fantasy? Here’s an in-depth look at guest staterooms, activities, restaurants, entertainment, and more onboard this fantastic ship. There are three main restaurants on the ship – Animator’s Palate, Royal Court, and Enchanted Garden.
Below are my personal picks for the best onboard dining options for each meal. It’s always London’s swinging ’70s at this mojo-bolstering nightclub. This spot is often overlooked due to its secluded location, so it’s a quiet retreat with compelling views (and a great wedding venue, too!). Lunch at Cabanas is a daily-changing mix of chilled and hot choices.
The pool deck has a large area for family fun water activities, featuring 2 hot tubs and 2 kids pools - "Donald's" (5 ft deep) and "Mickey's" (with a spiral slide). There's a toddler splash area (Nemo themed) located in the center on Deck 11 with huge glass panes for parents to monitor their kids. Like on all Disney ships, Disney Fantasy staterooms are some of the industry's largest standard cabins, most of them designed to easily accommodate four passengers. Some of the best Disney cabins features are the ample closet space, the normal-sized living space and the split bathrooms (1 room with shower-bathtub-sink and a separate toilet and sink). Beds on Fantasy are raised to allow storing 2 medium-sized suitcases underneath, staterooms also got 2 vanities, a 22-inches smart HDTV, an iPod docking station and 2 rechargeable "Wave Phones" to be used ship-wide. It tends to be the most highly visited place to eat because of the flexibility in schedule (you can eat pretty much whenever you want) but there is usually plenty of capacity.
Those aged 14 to 17 have a unique indoor/outdoor space made just for them, complete with a super secret entrance! Indoors, teens will find plenty of TVs, video games, and tablets, plus dance parties, karaoke sessions, and group activities. Outside, there’s a private sundeck at the bow of the ship that’s perfect for games, splashing in one of two small pools, and sunbathing. This secure facility is accessible only to kids aged 3-10 and trained youth activities staff — but there are pre-scheduled open houses to allow parents and children to tour the location together.
